I am Ms. Chelsea Kuhlow, Raymond School’s band director. I graduated from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2015 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental and General Music Education. I studied flute under Mrs. Anne Harsevoort and Ms. Kay Schultz of Clinton, WI, Dr. Amy VanDeuren of Madison, WI, Dr. Robin Fellows at UW-Whitewater and composition with Dr. Jeff Herriot also at UW-Whitewater.
I grew up in a small town in south-central Wisconsin where I began my musical career as well as a showpig operation, Kuhlow Girls Showpigs. I have always been an active musician performing as a solo instrumentalist and singer as well as with many groups including a “family band” with my sisters. I actively perform new and improvised music and love to collaborate with other electroacoustic musicians.
I absolutely believe that through music education, every person can learn the skills required to accomplish any dream and I absolutely love guiding people through their own musical journeys.
