Extension 127

“Everything Connects” This has been a favorite saying of mine for a number of years and has a number of meanings.  Its initial meaning applies to my professional life.  In order to truly learn new information, people have to be able to connect that new material with something they already know.  I urge my students to take new information and connect it to their own experiences and to the lessons we have already covered. Another meaning is that I feel a personal connection to Raymond School. My grade school years were spent right here as a student.  I have many fond memories of my years as a student and feel fortunate to be here teaching.  The caring, dedicated teachers of my childhood continue to inspire and guide me today.  Living in the town also allows me opportunities to connect with the students in the community. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  In addition, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.  Scrapbooking and reading are two of my hobbies.
