My Philosophy

As the Raymond School District Counselor, I will:

1. Promote a positive school climate by working with ALL STUDENTS to encourage a culture of respect and trust.

2. COLLABORATE with parents/guardians, teachers, administration and support staff and students, and community resources.

3. Deliver CLASSROOM LESSONS that align to the ASCA standards.

4. FACILITATE small groups focusing on topics such as friendship, grief/loss, anger management, study skills, family changes, and self-esteem.

5. Meet with students INDIVIDUALLY to engage in brief, solution-focused counseling.

6. Work with struggling students to make POSITIVE BEHAVIOR CHOICES.

7. Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY, unless you report someone is hurting you, you hurt yourself, or you hurt someone else.

8. Provide EDUCATION AND INFORMATION about ALL STUDENTS' emotional, academic, and career exploration/planning needs.

All About Your School Counselor, Mrs. Klein

I am thrilled to be the School Counselor at Raymond School District #14! I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1991 from Marquette University. My major was Teaching English. I then earned my Master's Degree in 1995 in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. This allowed me to follow my passion for helping to develop the whole child as a School Counselor. Throughout my career, I have been an elementary and middle school counselor. It brings me joy every day to help students find success in school.

My husband, Tom, and I live in Franklin, WI and are blessed with 4 children, two daughters and two sons. When I am not working, I love to cook and try new recipes, read historical fiction, and exercise. My husband and I love to travel and hike the National Parks of the United States.

Please reach out if you with any concerns you may have regarding your child's development.
