About Our Library

From our littlest learners to our soon to be high schoolers, our library aims to have a book for every student! From book browsers sorted by genre, to large shelves organized with the Dewey Decimal System, to an easy to search catalogue, we are making our library accessible to each and every student in our building. Libraries represent different things to different people, our library is open to all. It provides a wide range of materials on different levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal, and representing different points of view– but not all materials will fit every individual student. The structure of our library displays, groups books by interest, theme, reading level, and topic. Age-appropriate books are arranged specifically for the readers that would be most interested.

Books that have content suited for older students are labeled with YA- Young adult and are also housed in a separate section. The physical structure of our library makes it very easy for our librarian and teachers to see which students are looking at/selecting which books. Our library offers Destiny Quest Library (an online public access catalog) linked above as an opportunity for parents to review titles available in our library.

If you have questions or would like additional input into your child’s library selections please contact Ms. Rodriguez at rodrzoe@raymond.k12.wi.us.
